Topp Secret (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

TOPP SECRET

A.D. THE GENERAL:  Break down why you guys call your selves “Topp Secret” and how many members do you have?

TOPP SECRET: We call it Topp Secret because, we all had a lil taste of the industry, but fill like we did not reach our goal as a artist. so we decided 2 go @it again because we love what we do & love the way our fans enjoys our work!

A.D. THE GENERAL: You guys are all very talented solo artists. What made y'all decide to become a group and separates “Top Secret” from the average group in Hip Hop?

TOPP SECRET: Because it has to be done. Music is so watered down and it like we loosen touch with our people, The root of it all, Groups like Run DMC to the lox. We wanted to do something different, Cause that what the game need now, a Hero !!!

A.D. THE GENERAL: Dre I know you’ve been on tour and have had some experience in acting, Torrey worked with Missy Eliot. But what are you guys trying to accomplish as a collective now?

TOPP SECRET: I want people to remember who DreBanks, Torrey Carter & Tommy Swade was, we want our music to be relevant when were dead & gone!!! I'm a strong believer of work hard to follow your dreams & believe in yourself, you will win!!!

TOPP SECRET: U can check us out on youtube, under drebanks & http://www.reverbnation.com/ search box drebanks !!!

A.D. THE GENERAL: If you had a choice between singing to a major that would give you a million for promo and marketing but wanted creative control and a indie that could only give you a hundred thousand for promo and marketing and allow you creative control, which contract would you take?

TOPP SECRET: I would have to take the indie rout, because i can work on the mill off the promo and have the creative control side of it. That's always a better deal. shit look at Bad Boy, Murder Ink ect.

A.D. THE GENERAL:  Where will you be a year from now?

Hitman Interview (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

N.A.B.:The Hitman is a straight forward, outspoken name. When and who decided you would carry this epithet?

HITMAN: I chose my own name. I decided I needed both a strong and clever name that represented me as a person and an artist. The reason behind that name being chosen is because of my admiration of how an assassin carries themselves, quiet, observant, focused on his goals, precise and deadly when need be. There is also a double meaning to HITMAN, I only strive to make HITS nothing less hence the name The HITMAN.

N.A.B.: Like many young men growing into men, you've overcome your share of hurdles. How did you manage staying focused on your dream?

HITMAN: I love music it's my escape from most problems and I use it as my own therapy. I've been singing since I was 6 and started rapping when I was 9. It’s not that becoming an artist is a goal, I already see myself as an artist, being a successful artist is my goal. I couldn't really afford much so I made everything that had to do with my career choice my lifestyle. I became a live in studio sound engineer so I can record and perform, I work as a camera man with EMmultimedia.com so I can do music videos, and I even work part time at a gym so I can get in to and/or keep myself in shape for shows and videos. Everything else doesn't faze me, I don't have time to worry about what happened before, if you look back you trip sometimes, so keep your eyes forward on what you need and everything will be ok.

N.A.B.: What skills would you say you bring to the table being an artist and engineer? How would you describe your sound to people?

HITMAN: I'm a diverse artist, I can fit into any genre of music and I enjoy every genre. Me not only being an artist but also a sound engineer helped me progress faster and I think gave me the advantage on most up coming artists. I tech for many showcases so I get to see all the mistakes and I study everything I watch. So now I know what to do and what kind of fresh ideas I can bring to stage to put on an entertaining show. Plus it always helps to learn all the equipment that's being used for you on stage and off.

N.A.B.: What image do you think your music conveys?

HITMAN: Depends on the song I make, I could make a party song, then make a song with a strong hearted and personal message to it. also it could switch to straight up hip hop hardcore. It's all diverse, but I guess you could put it under commercial hip hop.

N.A.B.: What are your short and long term goals?

HITMAN: My goal period is to become successful and master my craft in the art of writing and performing music. I mean I would like to get on a level as other famous well known artists too, don't get me wrong.

N.A.B.: Do you have a demo or press kit, or any promotional material viewers can check out?

HITMAN: I will be releasing a mix tape soon called "Unknown" and I'm currently making a couple music videos for some songs on that mix tape. Right now you can find my music and my info on facebook, reverbnation, youtube and any other current social networks. I do have a press kit and will be releasing a video EPK soon.

N.A.B.: Have you created an actual career, marketing and business plan?

HITMAN: Yes, but I feel I'm still in the early phase where I can always improve or change things.

N.A.B.: You've come across the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program showcase. Fill us in about your experience from how you became acquainted to your actual appearance.

HITMAN: I met A.D. The general at a showcase that I was told to go to by a friend I met when I was sound teaching for Times square art center on 42nd street. I was told the wrong time to go though so I showed up at the end and basically everyone was either leaving or talking to each other so I walked up to each judge individually to ask them to stay and watch me perform and she happened to be one of them. I started performing and didn't really have anyone's attention at first, so I jumped on a table in the middle of the room and went in on the music, ears where perking then. After that I got love from everyone and got the judges contact info. I sent A.D. My music and she was really feeling' it. A.D. Kept telling me about the show elegant hoodness for a while so I went to the show and I'm glad I didn't let her down because she had a lot faith that I was going to do well. I didn't think I would win though cause there was a lot of good talent there but I guess it was my time you know.

N.A.B.: Are you actively involved with updating daily, your social networking sites? i.e Twitter, Facebook, Reverbnation, etc? What are they?

HITMAN: Yes Twitter : @officialhitman Facebook.com/officialhitman Theofficialhitman@gmail.com Reverbnation.com/theofficialhitman Instagram : @officialhitman YouTube.com/thehitmanlive I try to update daily and as often as possible

N.A.B.: Any closing words and or shout outs?

HITMAN: Yes, thank you N.A.B for the great interview, shout out to A.D. The General and Elegant Hoodness for making all these opportunities available to me! Shout out to Eddie at EM Multimedia for all the work he does and everything he showed me. Most of all thank you to all the current fans and new fans to come; I'll keep working hard for ya.

X - RATED (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

E.H.M.P.: Let’s start off with your name, X- Rated. What does it mean?
X- RATED: The X stand for always being the hot spot . The R stand for always being Reliable in body that knows me knows they can count on me . The A Stand for always having A Positive Attitude .The T Stand for standing Tall on my own feet and if you want to be known in this world you’ve got to know how to stand "TALL". The E Stand for being Educated. I'm book smart in very street smart. The D Stand for Dominate. I dominate in anything I do and I plan on getting in this rap game and making a name for myself.

E.H.M.P.: You are a native of Florida. How do you think hip-hop in Florida differs from the rest of the world?
X- RATED: It's more laid back. A simple, nice snap beat with horns. Most of the artists I met in Florida, really just take their life in put it in a notebook.
E.H.M.P.: Who are some of your influences?
X- RATED: I would have to say 2Pac, Trick Daddy, DMX, T.I. Young Jeezy, Outkast, Goodie Mob.
E.H.M.P.: If you had a choice between signing to major label and having no creative control or and indie and having creative control? Which would you choose and why?
X- RATED: I would have to say indie and having creative control. I feel like I can get people to relate to my music. If they do I wouldn't want to change it. But, a major label can come in and say "we don't like it change it" and that's what I will have to do. The people might not like it but at the end of the day, I'm trying to be happy and make other people happy to.
E.H.M.P.: Where do you see your self in a year from now?
X- RATED: I see myself making a name. I'm not on yet but my name is starting to buzz in the streets.

ROME STREETZ (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

N.A.B.: Start us off with some history on the come-up of Rome Streetz?

ROME: I’m still on the come up. Feel I haven't come up yet. But Rome Streetz is a hustler doing whatever to get by!!

N.A.B.:  You've derived into rhyming at an early age. Where did you get your inspiration for music?

ROME: I have rhymed seriously for about 11 years. I’ve always been a fan of music since like 3 years old listening to Michael Jackson. My first hip hop influences came from Snoop Dog, Nas, Biggie, Kool G Rap, Jay-Z and Pun. Those artist influenced me to rap and my experiences that I’ve had. I started free styling at like 11 then writing at like 14.

N.A.B.: You've been bringing home wins left and right lately. Recently winning at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program and went straight into gaining. Tell us about Elegant Hoodness, how you became acquainted, the process and all about your win.

ROME: I became acquainted with Elegant Hoodness through my aunt's friend Dawn. She saw my performance from another showcase I won and posted it on face book. She linked me up to Elegant Hoodness as well. I just went up there and gave it my all. I performed two songs, one called "Murder Manuscript" off my mixtape Vagabond and the other called "Light It Up" from the mixtape, I’m working on now.

N.A.B.: Vagabond seems to be tagged all around your name. Elaborate some about that.

ROME: Vagabond is the name of the culture. The actual word means, a person who wanders from place to place without a home or job. That just describes my life and the life of those around me. It's all about doing what u have to do to survive. I represent that in my music because every thing isn't always party and bullshit. Real life situations occur longer than the party goes on. I feel like there’s really no one out right now talking about that truthfully. That’s what I represent but it's also a acronym for various different things that describe me, like very artistic ghetto advocate bringing out new dreams. Visionary addressing ghetto broke niggaz directly.

N.A.B.: What is most relevant to you as far as where you see yourself in the future? Also the steps you’re planning on taking to get there.

ROME: The most relevant thing to me would be getting my voice heard on a large scale. Being able to touch and represent all those who are like me and spread my culture speaking to all the vagz, I’m just going to keep doing music the way I do. Continue to grow and do as many shows as possible. Start up my independent company and get some distribution as well.

N.A.B.: Is there anything you would like to express that we haven't thus far?

ROME: I just want to bring real NY hip hop back to where it should be. Resurrect the lyricism and just leave my mark on the culture. I’m also on the hunt for some ill producers on sum hip hop shit. If your influenced by Pete Rock, Dj Premier and J Dilla holla @ .

N.A.B.: Where can we stay updated with your work? Any shouts?

ROME: You can download my mix tape on datpiff.com titled Vagabond look out for my next one I’m putting out soon. Follow me on twitter @rome_streetz, Instagram @rome_streetz, Facebook @ Rome Streetz
shout out the whole Vagabond squad. NYC all my niggaz to much to name. Look out for that new mixtape dropping soon!!

Crunk Star Beatz (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

CRUNK STAR BEATZ TAKES 1ST PLACE IN SC EHMP

Devonte Cooper (artist alias Prittie Boi D, producer alias CrunkstarzBeatz) hails from Charleston, SC. He has involved in music for almost 10 years, playing drums and learning to play the piano at an early age. He has been producing for 8 years. Even though he is only 19, he has a focus and determination to be heard and recognized in the music industry. Learn more about this young producer on the rise.
E.H.M.P: Which comes easier to you, being an artist or a producer? Why?

CRUNK STAR: Being a producer comes easier because its like second nature to me and its what I’ve Mastered. I can create a great sounding production on any piece of musical equipment or software that you put in front of me so I’m not limited to any particular software or workstation.

E.H.M.P: Who are your biggest influences when it comes to your production?

CRUNK STAR: My biggest influences are Lil Jon, Timberland, Shawty Redd, Polow The Don, Dj Tomp, and my Favorite of all, Drumma Boy who is my Biggest Influence and also kind of a mentor for me to me though my later years of producing.

E.H.M.P: What is your process and how long does it take you to make a beat?

CRUNK STAR: If I don't already have drums in mind I usually start with chords from the Piano or any instrument to lay down the foundation of my production. From there I go on to add other melodic sounds such as synths, bells, brass, or what ever I find that I like. Then Most of the times I like to add an Arpeggio in the same chords as the foundation to give the beat a fuller melody. Then I add my percussion. I always start with cymbals and hi hats first then Snares and Claps Then Kicks, 808s (Usually Distorted), or bass. Then I lay down the lead instrument which is usually a synth then Wala! A Crunkstarz Track is born. This process can take anywhere from 30mins-4hrs depending on the complexity.

E.H.M.P: How has your production evolved since you first started?

CRUNK STAR: My production skills have gotten way more versatile and my mixes a whole lot clearer. When I first started all my production sounded crunk or hype. Now I do all kinds of productions for many genres such as Pop, Dance, Club, Hyphy, Down South, East coast, Trap, ect.

E.H.M.P: Where do you see yourself in the music industry 5 years from now?

CRUNK STAR: I know this sounds a bit cocky but 5yrs from now I’m kind of certain that I will be one of the main super Producers in the music industry creating platinum hits.

E.H.M.P: Who (indie/mainstream) artist would you like to work with?

CRUNK STAR: I would Love to work with Lady GaGa, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tech N9ne, Rick Ross, and Tyga, but basically I’m willing to work with any artist that can contribute to my sound.

E.H.M.P: Where can people go to hear your work?

CRUNK STAR: You can Go To Datpiff.com and Search CrunkstarzBeatz.

SPEED AUTOBAHN (Buzz Factor) Summer Grind Issue 2012

N.A.B.: I will start off by asking, what brought about the name change? Most of us know you as Fardaru, now it's Speed AUTOBAGHN?

SPEED: Well actually "Speed " has always been my name, going back from a kid growing up in Far Rockaway, Queens. When I initially started my music career, I choose the name Fardaru because it’s a known slang name and a symbolic reference to where I’m from, "Far Rockaway". So in a way it was a way for me to give homage and respect for my Hood. But I renamed (2012) my artist name to “Speed Autobahn”. Due to the fact that I felt I came to a point in my music career, were I felt I evolved to my own brand and image. That broke away from the local hood name, Fardaru. I feel the name Speed Autobahn describes my unique style & innovative approach to music, which is high energy, and a collaboration of hip hop, pop/rock and electric dance music.

N.A.B.: During my research I noticed you've attended Alabama State University. What was your field of study? Are you participating in that field presently?

SPEED: Yes I attended at A.S.U and studied psychology, it was definitely a different experience from growing up in NYC to spending time in Alabama. But, I value not only the education, but the chance to experience and view life in a different prospective. Currently right now in addition to my perusing music career, I work for a nonprofit social services organization in a public speaking position. It’s not quite psychology, but it pays the bills for now.

N.A.B: You consider yourself an "Educated Hood Representative". Why? Explain how you go about educating the hood?

SPEED: When I say "I'm an Educated Hood rep", I feel it’s an obvious statement. I grew up in the Hood and utilized my God given gifts and talents to further educate myself. But still stayed true to my roots and in a way I have integrated both aspects in my life. I think my approach to life shows that you don't have to be one dimensional and can embrace the street side of you and still be intelligent and professional.

N.A.B.: Tell us about BGF (Babylon Get Fresh) and the creation?

SPEED: Well, that's a long story!! LOL. But to make it short, Babylon was the name of my crew growing up in Ocean Village, Far Rockaway, queens. Later we took adopted the name Get Fresh, so once I started my musical career It only made sense to combine both names (Babylon Get Fresh) to represent my movement.

N.A.B.: "Pounds" is one of your latest single's I've come across. Give us insight on that.

SPEED: Yea, "Pounds" is one of latest singles from my new mixtape INNOVATIVE MUSIC 2, ( no release date scheduled yet). It's a song that was inspired by one of my fellow Babylon Get Fresh members, "POP". We was chilling in my crib one day listening to music and he was like "yo Speed, you need to make a song that is hood and gritty." At the same time incorporating ya own creative style and unique flow & metaphors." Once I found the right beat and had the motivation, the rest is history. So overall, this song was made more for the gritty street audience and turned out to be a very popular song.

N.A.B.: Your next video shoot "SPEED AUTOBAHN THE DOCUMENTARY" and will be directed by Anthony Sylvester. When is the shoot? Anything exciting we can expect?

SPEED AUTOBAHN: Right now I'm planning on shooting this documentary mid-June. This project is a chance for my fans and viewers to get a glimpse into my life and get a better understanding of "who is Speed Autobahn the artist". This project is more personal and will show where I'm from, introduce other members of my team, showcase my creativity & work ethic in the studio and the talented production team that I work with daily. So I expect my fans and views to enjoy this project and connect with me on a personal level.

N.A.B.: You will be recording your new E.P., SPEED AUTOBAHN: NO LIMIT TO SUCCESS , produced by Danny Switchblade. What's the 411?

SPEED: I'm really excited about this project and expect it to be the biggest so far of my career. It's shows my growth as a artist over the years and will fully showcase my evolution from a one dimensional Hip Hop artist, to my current diverse artistic style. This project will show my unique and innovative musical style of blending Hip Hop, pop, rock and electronic dance genre's. I worked extremely hard on this E.P and worked with a crazy talented team (R&B vocalist Ezo & Mimi Sanders, executive producer Danny Switchblade and engineer David Lavine). With this E.P, expect nothing but hit singles! My whole focus was creating high energy music that could be played on the radio and clubs in America, Europe and anywhere in the world. This project is really targeting a broad and diverse global audience. I guarantee this E.P will be fire!!!!

N.A.B.: Tell us about your run with the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program? How did you become involved?

SPEED AUTOBAHN: I actually have known about E.H.M.P for a long time. I say around the same time I started taking my music career to heart, in 2007. I was introduced to A.D. The General by a mutual friend/Artist. My initial impression of E.H.M.P was that it was a cool program and gave artist a way to display their skills. But over the years I have watch the program, grow to a powerful musical media, marketing, networking tool and overall an successful movement.

N.A.B.: Any closing words and/or shout outs?

SPEED AUTOBAHN: Anyone can follow me at my website, BABYLONGETFRESH.INFO, twitter: @BGF_SPEED and FB: Speed Autobahn

I want to give a shout out to NYC, Queens, Far Rockaway, Ocean Village, ED & Lee at Jam Box Studios, Graphic arts designer Michael Lowe & thinkprowess.com, Producer/ Artist Danny Switch Blade, media Guru Lila Polite, Da Cave Radio, Manager Cypher, Hypeman Toast, IOTA PHI THETA, Ezo, Mimi Sanders, Young Phish, P-RIch and the rest of my Babylon Get Fresh Team. Also special thanks to A.D. The General, Miss FEFE, SpecialGift and the rest of the N.A.N & N.A.B team. 1

Buzz Factor (Spring Ahead Issue) 2012

BUZZ FACTOR.....

Brought to you By...AD the General

FLYBOY STACKZ Born in New Orleans, presently based in Atlanta Ga, I present Flyboy Stackz, Up and coming hip hop artist with a massive drive. Producer, artist, actor and model are a few of his many talents. In 1998 Flyboy Stackz decided to explore hip hop and run with it. At the age of 16 his first mix tape dropped. Even though that was a great look at that time and showed his habile, life matters geared him in another direction. He went on to enhance on his education. From the age of 19 to 24, Flyboy had to deal with the blows of life. Presently at the age of 24, FlyBoy knew it was time to catch up and that’s exactly what he did. “Mr.2010” hosted by DJ Formula & Platinum family Radio and “Sign Me” mix tapes and his catchy club banger “Crank It Up” has gave him his lead way to growth. Than came “12 Days Of Flyboy“, “Get Money Stay Fly” VOL. 2 and “The Check-In” which was released June 2011. Flyboy’s newest album “FLIGHT” I hear has the “streetz and air waves going crazy“.SPECIALGIFTNAB: Take us into the current zone of FlyBoy Stackz?

FLYBOY STACKZ: Grind Mode, focused on making good music and building my brand and putting my city and my team on the map.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: How did your pragmatic view of hip hop come about?

FLYBOY STACKZ: Just going through everyday life. The ups and downs of life, I’m fortunate to be able to survive and still be here to turn those events into good music.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What is your pertinence in the hip hop game?

FLYBOY STACKZ: I AM HIP HOP…. I live it, and breathe it everyday. I’ll continue to stay relevant because I have the ability to relate and connect with people on another level. Every artist doesn’t have that, That “IT” factor.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Tell us about the development and course of your newest album “Flight”.

FLYBOY STACKZ: The whole “Flight” project is my gift to the game. Developed from real life and daily situations formulated into good music. I worked with some of the best producers in the game on this project. Its course is just beginning; it’s one of those albums that you will appreciate with time. The older it gets, the better it sounds. TIME LESS.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Do you feel your perseverance has been rewarded so far? Will you elaborate?

FLYBOY STACKZ: I feel like my perseverance is rewarded every time I get on the stage and give my fans 100 percent. That’s what it’s all about. Although it has not been rewarded fully at this time financially, it’s definitely coming in the near future. No question about it.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Who would you give credit to in your journey this far? Is there anyone you look to collaborate with in the near future?

FLYBOY STACKZ: I give credit to my team, my fans, and my family. Without them I’m nothing. I’m looking to collaborate with anybody I feel is making good music. Big name collaborations are cool, but I’m not the ride the next man coat tail to get on type. I’m self made… self paid.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What’s next for Flyboy Stackz?

FLYBOY STACKZ: More showcases, tours, mix tapes, and videos…. Stay tuned…. We grinding.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: As the world gets to know Flyboy Stackz, what do you want them to deem? What’s the best way for us to hear your tracks and stay updated?

FLYBOY STACKZ: There’s nothing in particular that I want the world to deem. Everyone is a different individual, so I want each person to make their own opinion about me based upon my actions and the material I put out. Then take whatever they want from it. The best way to hear my music and stay updated about me is my website. WWW.FLYBOYSTACKZ.COM

Trigga

Dec 21, 2011 Trigga brought some major heat to Elegant Hoodness. His beats played track after track as the audience, which was filled with unsigned hungry artists cheered on. There was some competition in the building so it was definitely a battle of some of Hip Hop’s soon to be super producers. But only one could Reign Supreme and Trigga did. He is now nominated for Emerging Producer at The E.H.M.P 2013 awards and has won loads of exposure. This is a producer that is well on his own, when they ask. Tell them A.D. The General told you so.

A.D. THE GENERAL: Congratulations on your 1st place win at The Elegant Hoodness Musical Program Beat Battle edition Dec 21 in NY. How did u feel were certain you were the winner? And did you enjoy the Elegant Hoodness and would recommend other producers and artists to get down?

TRIGGA: Thanks alot! It definitely was a big win for me considering it was my first beat battle ever. To be honest I felt I did enough to win but it was a close one. I really enjoyed myself, the performances was on point the atmosphere was great. I definitely think producers/artists should check out The Elegant Hoodness Musical Program it’s a great avenue to get heard and for promotion.

A.D.THE GENERAL: You are currently being mentored by Trak Dealez CEO him self "Buck 50" how did that situation come to play?

TRIGGA: A lil bit of networking, grind and luck! I’ve followed the Trak Dealaz movement for a while and when the opportunity came along to work with the infamous Buck 50, I didn’t let it slip through my fingers. I look up to him and it’s an honor to work with him.

A.D. THE GENERAL: How do you feel your production differs from the average hiphop/rap producer? And would consider your self a producer or a beat maker?

TRIGGA: My production is very versatile yet has the "now" factor. I have an unique sound that I call the "Tranz4mation" but I also have the ability to mimic our favorite super producers out there like the Kanye's, the Swizz's and the Dr. Dre's. I would have to consider myself both a producer and beat maker. Some producers get offended when you call them a beat maker not me. Even though its nothing like a great production, having you favorite rapper destroy one of your beats is priceless!

A.D. THE GENERAL: You are a producer/engineer? How important is it for producer to be able to control the mixing of the records?

TRIGGA: Yes I am, but to be honest controlling the mix isn't that important to me as it may be to others. If I have a great engineer that knows what he/she is doing, it gives me the opportunity to solely focus on the production "Dirty ears create dirty music".

A.D.THE GENERAL: Where do you see yourself a year from now?

TRIGGA: On top of the world! lol I definitely see myself in a better light, doing shows, producing for a lot of the great artists out there and over all being a better person; Which would make me a better producer in the long run!

A.D. THE GENERAL: Any thank you and or shouts outs?

TRIGGA: Thanks To: A.D The General and the whole Elegant Hoodness movement for showing me love. Buck 50 for working with giving me the oppurtunity to show in prove. Shout Outs:  Buck 50, Boogz Banga, A.D The General, My Fans and The Team Bomb Squad and Trak Dealaz supporters.

MOTTZ GIGANTE

MOTTZ GIGANTE: Yes, I started late, during the last few Years of high school. I was watching and listening to my friends at the lunch table rapping and getting everyones attention. I wanted to be apart of that atmosphere but I was too quiet. I thought my rhymes was gonna be weak and I was going to embarrass myself. As I got older, I gained more confidence in myself and my lyrical ability. I managed to overcome my fear.

SPECIALGIFT: Tell us about your affiliation with Hand Made Beats? What would you say has benefit you from the time to signed on with them till present? Elaborate.

MOTTZ GIGANTE: I am a hip-hop artist for HandMadeBeats (Hmb). Around 2008, I was introduced to SL Jones by a friend who told me that he wanted to hear me rap. Once he heard my style, lyrics and flow, we made music ever since. Once I got a chance to be around the HMB camp, I knew that this is where I wanted to be.

SPECIALGIFT: What do you have in the making at this time? Give us complete details.

MOTTZ GIGANTE: Well, at this time my mixtape "The KingsBorough Project" is Out On SoundCloud.com, MixTapeFactory.Com And DatPiff.Com as a free download. I am working on several mixtapes and my first EP "KBP2". I am also trying to shoot more videos for the mixtape. Pretty much trying to stay focused and confident while giving the streets what they really need.

SPECIALGIFT: You have recently won 1st place at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program. How did you feel in there arena and win you heard them announce your win? Would you suggest other inspiring artist to the program?

MOTTZ GIGANTE: Coming in first place at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program was the highlight of 2011 for me. I've been apart of E.H.M.P for some time now and I never won. A few of my HMB fam, (Neeka J & Mr. Brite) had a chance to be winners. I wanted to experience that, but damn, I NEVER expected first place. "I STRONGLY SUGGEST ANY UNSIGNED ARTIST TO JOIN AND BE APART OF THE E.H.M.P. #SUPERFACT"

SPECIALGIFT: Any future collabs we should look out for?

MOTTZ GIGANTE: Honestly, No. The only thing im working on is me, "MOTTZ GIGANTE"! Building my catalog to the point where I can flood the streets. I have all I need with HMB. Songstress Neeka J, Hard-core Nitro Spitta and multitalented Mr. Brite are the people I feel I make my best music with.

SPECIALGIFT: Where do you see your career to be in this hip hop industry in the next 3 years?

MOTTZ GIGANTE: Just to be heard around the NY Tri-State Area and give the Hip-Hop listeners a chance to hear Mottz Gigante and HandMadeBeats. Maybe get the attention of some a&r's in the industry and hopefully open their ear up to some new unsigned hype. Honestly I never expected to get this far with my talent. I just wanted to rap for myself and some friends of mine. I would have never thought I would get this far, so anything would be a blessing and a huge honor for me.

SPECIALGIFT: Who would you like to shout out at this time?

MOTTZ GIGANTE: This is the hard part! KingsBorough Houses, Diesel, Lyte, Perc, MoneyGang, 225 Buffalo, Slime Gang, Buckets, Rah Dollaz, RodyBlood, Maino, Hustle Tha Supplya, HMB SL.Jonez, .Nitro Spitta, MurdaMarv, Billy Clippings, Mr Brite, Neeka J, Jae Nealz, Bonnie Geo, Traffik and s/o to everyone I forgot Too or didnt mention.

CHARLIE ROCK

A.D. THE GENERAL:  Lets start off with the name Charlie Rock what does it mean?

CHARLIE ROCK: Honestly the name was passed down to me by my father. (Not to be confused with Charlie Rock formerly of Terror Squad) The name just stuck with me since I was a kid.

A.D. THE GENERAL: You are from the Bronx NY the Mecca of Hip Hop. Do you feel any pressure to succeed and continue the legacy of some of the greats born in The Bronx?

CHARLIE ROCK: From KRS 1, Melly Mel, Big Pun, to Corey Gunz, Fred The Godson, and French Montana, the legacy is still here and in good hands. As for me, I think it’s a different expectation because I’m a producer. I think the most pressure comes from my self. I know what I’m capable of so I’m my own hardest critic. When you think of the Bronx and its contributions to Hip Hop or music in general, my name will be mentioned when it’s all said and done.

A.D. THE GENERAL: How long have you been producing and what inspired you to pursue a career in music?

CHARLIE ROCK: I’ve been into music all my life. I started out playing in church and it’s had a hold on me ever since. I’ve only been producing for 3 years now. Its crazy to think about the stuff I’ve made in such a short period of time compared to people who have been producing 10 years plus. I have over 200 full songs done. The catalog is only getting bigger.

A.D. THE GENERAL:  How would you describe your style or production and what makes you the next hottest producer in the game?

CHARLIE ROCK: I don’t want to categorize in any genre of music. I want to be known as a producer who can sell a track to Lil Wayne then turn around and sell another track to Justin Bieber. I can make anything in any lane without trying to recreate what someone else has already done. I sound like me!

A.D. THE GENERAL: Do u play any instruments? And is your production sample free?

CHARLIE ROCK: I play the piano and the drums. Spending 6 hours in Church every Sunday when I was little can do that to you. Lol. I have a lot of sample free music as well as sampled beats. I can also take a song and play the whole thing over and give it a new feeling. That’s what being a producer is about.

A.D. THE GENERAL: Who do you dream of producing for?

CHARLIE ROCK: I would want to co-produce a record for Jay with Kanye. I think it’ll be one of the best songs in music history period. J. Cole, Drake, Ceelo, Frank Ocean, Chrisette Michelle, Slaughter House, just to name a few others. I also like working with the new artist that haven’t been discovered yet because the creativity with them is limitless.

A.D. THE GENERAL: Who have you been working with? And how does an artist get to work with you?

CHARLIE ROCK: I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a lot of artist and people who make good music. Any artist that takes this serious and wants to produce hit records can contact me. This industry is all about building relationships with people and making a good product. As long as you’re making what the people want, it’s undeniable.

A.D. THE GENERAL: Where can our readers hear some of those Fire beats?

CHARLIE ROCK: You can hear some of my music on my website http://www.charlierocktid.com/  you can also follow me on twittertwitter.com/CharlieRockTID and on Facebook Charlie Rock and on your radio station very soon!

Stunna Mane

Being from the south Stunna Mane developed a slow paste but that didn’t hold him back. When Stunna Mane decided to be apart of the music industry he started out with managing an artist. During there process, things came to an end and they went there separate ways. That’s when Stunna decided to chance the opportunity of becoming an artist him self. Once he started there was know turning back. He began to collaborate with quite a few up coming Dj’s such as Dj Bobby Jones, Dj Bank Roe, Dj Cable and naming. His first track was than written and entitled “Drunk Gorilla”. This song became a hit throughout Delta, Mi, Atlanta, Memphis, Phoenix and counting. After this release came “Pretty Girls” which has captured the internet world. With not to much experience Stunna Mane has been nominated for two Jackson Music Awards (male hip-hop artist of the year and hip-hop entertainer of the year). Other tracks titled “Bang” ft. Murdah Baby Prod by Nat C, “On Dat Road” “We Be Blowing Strong” “The One They Talk About” “Let‘s Toast To Success” are a few that has been released as well. Won second place and has gained heavy exposure with his winning. Such as more radio play throughout the globe and interviews in several different magazines. Sunna Mane is definitely on the come up. Let’s find out more.

N.A.B.: Start us off with some insight on the development of Stunna Mane.

STUNNA MANE: Well I was given the name "The Stunna" from ladies at my old job. I used to work on an assembly line building Nissans in Mississippi. We made great money there; I bought everything I ever wanted. Never had thru life in Mississippi and traveled outside of Mississippi to all parts of the country. Even to Alaska while working there it taught me with hard work comes opportunity and thru that came the Stunna Mane Aka Johnny Bang Life Style. That happens when you achieve success in life, you enjoy success because you worked hard for it. No one can take your memories or dreams from you because that's what drives us as human beings, having goals and dreams and a better life. So I based my rap career off my real life ups and downs and serve as a model of "be who you are and u still can make it in the world". Even being a smart guy that stays in the middle of four cotton fields you too can make your dreams come true.

N.A.B.: “Drunk Gorilla”, when and how did this track come about? Will you go on to the next track “Pretty Girls” and elaborate on this one as well.

STUNNA MANE: It's started right after I started rapping and decided that I wanted a way to release all of the energy that runs thru me but I don't dance so I created a away for me to release, with the Drunk Gorilla record. You can bob your head, rock, lean and do your thing to this record. It's an anthem for the club that's filled with passionate drinker’s lol!!!! And as for my single Pretty Girl's featuring ML the truth, I wrote this record to show the power of a beautiful woman over a man and do that in a away that it didn't come off as a dirty record. You know something my kid can sing or even play at a wedding. I wanted to make a classic timeless song to play in appreciation of women.

N.A.B.: Tell us about the latest project you’re working on presently? Please elaborate some.

STUNNA MANE: Right now we are currently promoting via @livemixtapes.com for free download the Drunk Gorilla Mixtape, which it currently has over 34,000 views - that's big for an indie. Also, it has no Dj drops so any Dj that would like to add a song to his rotation can do so with just a click of the download button. Since I'm giving away the mixtape free, all I ask in return from my fans is for you to rate and comment and a chance to come and perform for them in there city! Get @stunna_mane new mix tape #DrunkGorilla http://t.co/C3PurHkQ . Here is a link to the mix tape above, also in addition to touring the south and south east I'm now working on my other alter ego "Johnny Bang" Johnny Bang is the Johnny Bravo of the rap world the black Elvis Presley, mixed with country flavor as BB King and Muddy Waters. He is smart, funny, a handsome ladies man, big truck driver, fast car driver, builds loud sound systems, runs a rap label, used to be an ex bouncer and he is Bertha & Percy's son !!! Johnny Bang is hope and beliefs that you can do anything you can imagine ask long as u don't let failure kill your dreams. Not people but putting the weight on your shoulders and banging till u get some results!!!!! Mix tape on the way, Johnny Bang.

N.A.B.: Do you plan to collaborate with any artist soon?

STUNNA MANE: I’m always collaborating with different artist be on the look out for the New Bang remix featuring Dj Will Stunna Mane Murdah Baby, & Dub G of Ugk Records #Bang!!

N.A.B.: You performed at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program in Atlanta recently. How did you become acquainted and what’s your intake of the showcase? Would you suggest Elegant Hoodness to other up and coming artist, producers, media and all who’s seeking to be build their buzz to the max with a wide range of opportunities?

STUNNA MANE: I had seen and heard about A.D. the General and the brand Elegant Hoodness for a while on twitter. One day she tweeted about her upcoming awards for the Top 10 indies in NY. I felt like I should be nominated so I had my VP hit her up to check on the business. From there it resulted in my doing the Atlanta show and winning second prize to now a chance to participate in the awards show in New York. I appreciate the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program platform as an indie. I'm pleased with the media package. More exposure is just what I need right now in my career. "The product and brand is solid". I would definitely recommend the program to another artist like myself who is working hard and has made a name for himself but ready for that next level in their career.

N.A.B.: What’s next for Stunna Mane?

STUNNA MANE: Hopefully I can run thru rap and retire soon I really just wanna run a empire I'm a bigger genius than rap a young mogul the next big music machine I wanna take over music and run it off my influence , network , and networth so with alot of hard work I want the whole machine because I feel it's been corrupted and taken advantage of!

N.A.B.: Where can the people hear your music and find out more about you? Any shout out you would like to give at this time? Also any words you would like to leave us with?

Tayo
Comparisons.....we are all subject to them, whether it be artistic ability, athletic prowess or anything else it’ something that can't be avoided. When that comparison is made between an arising artist and one that is legendary, it has the ability of being both a blessing and a curse.  On the one hand it will garner the new artist a lot of attention, but at the same time subject them to a lot of scrutiny. How an artist fares in that situation: will depend on them maintaining their humility and of course their talent and output.

Our guest today Tayo is dealing with that situation currently. Read below as we get a little more familiar with him and his background.

EHMP:  What made you want to be an artist?

Tayo: When I was like 8 I got a karaoke machine and always liked to put on a show. Music is my passion because doing it makes me feel good

EHMP:  Who did you listen to growing up and did they influence your style?

Tayo: At first all I listened to was my older brother. He would come home with songs he made and that inspired me to do the same. But I listened to all kinds of music. I believe that's what gives me an edge and makes me a versatile as an artist.

EHMP: You have been compared to the great Big Pun, how does that affect you and how do you handle it?

Tayo: That's crazy. Actually it's very flattering because Pun was incredible. But I don't think my style is anything like Pun aside from the fact that we're Puerto Rican and we rap. I'm Tayo and while I am flattered I'd want to be known as my own artist.

 EHMP: Do you battle?

Tayo: I have battled at times but it's not what I choose to put my energy into. I rather make music. I enjoy taking what I'm thinking and feeling and turning that into something people can listen to and relate to

EHMP: Do you produce your own tracks?

Tayo: I've dabbled a bit I think it's good to know as much as you can when it comes to doing what you do. And so I am familiar with many aspects of producing and engineering but that's a craft on it own and so I leave it to those guys.

EHMP:  What makes you different from other artists, how do you stand out?

Tayo: I bring a different sound, a different swag; I am everything the industry needs. “I’m nice, I’m fresh, I’m blessed and I’m Puerto Rican” as said in my song haymaker. But one major characteristic Tayo has is he’s original. In my opinion the more original you’re, the more someone may be able to relate to what you’re saying. And at the end of the day it’s all about the people, the fans, if there not feeling you or they can’t relate to what your saying, then your duty as an artist, an entertainer, is pointless.

EHMP: What do you think of the current state of music?

Tayo: Music was at a point of downfall. Artist were falling off, it almost felt like music would never be the same again. But I can say music has definitely made a turn for the better these last 5 years. The only thing is a lot of artists are lacking that originality, therefore as a listener I find it difficult to relate to what he/she is saying. Music needs realism, it needs honesty, it needs to be created in such a way that anyone from any race or culture may be able to relate to it. That’s just how I see it.

EHMP: Where would you like to be in 5 years?

Tayo: World Tours, Collaborating with hip-hop’s most prestigious artists. I would like to expand my specialties and start acting as well. I would also like to open my own business to help amateur artists promote themselves correctly. I would like to buy my mama a new house and be a major iconic figure when people think of hip-hop.

EHMP: any recent or upcoming projects?

Tayo: I’m working on a soundtrack for a short film being made for a phenomenal book titled “Rise to Grace – A Genuine Street Story” written by Angel Huertas. The book just hit Barnes and Noble a few months ago and it’s gotten great reviews since then.  I’m also working on my latest mixtape/album titled “Boats” which stands for “Based on a True Story”. Basically the entire CD is designed to speak about life situations I’ve encountered or I've witnessed. Any listener would be able to connect to at least one song or more on the CD, just because the various topics it covers are universal situations anybody may go through.  Whether its divorce, corrupt friendships, love, relationships, etc. whatever it is, this piece of art covers it all.

EHMP: How can people reach you to hear your music to collaborate?

Tayo: You can search me on face book and twitter – “TayoStudioGeek”. You may also email me at https://mail.google.com/mail/h/13zvwv22i93iy/?&v=b&cs=wh&to=tayostudiogeek@gmail.com

EHMP: Any last words or shout outs?

Tayo: First off shouts to my mother and father for always motivating me. They took me from Brooklyn to Long Island for a better life and lord knows where I’d be today if that move wasn’t possible. Shouts to my brother for being my greatest inspiration. Shouts to my sister for always being there for me, even if the whole world is against me, at least I know you’d still be here for me baby. Shouts to all my friends and fans for keeping my head on a swivel, I swear if I didn’t have you guys life wouldn’t seem so clear right now. Be original & Stay true to yourself, Music needs THIS!

Peace & Love,
Tayo
