MS. MARSHAE XXX
Ms. FeFe: What’s good Ms. Marshae? What’s going on right now?
Ms. Marshae: Hi Ms. FeFe. It’s all good right now. I’m just working hard so I can play harder. LOL
Ms. FeFe: So what made you want to get into porn? Was it something that always crossed your mind?
MM: I dabbled in it once in 2005. I wasn’t really comfortable or all that informed about it at the time so I just backed up. In 2007-2008 I started going to swinger parties where a porn star by the name Danny Blaq asked me about doing porn. I kept saying no. But the more I thought about it I started thinking. I thought to myself that I like having sex and I don’t mind doing it in front of people and I like making money, so I decided to go for it.
Ms. FeFe: I see you’re repping for the BBW’s of the world. That’s what’s up! How hard is it for plus size and minority women in that line of business?
MM: It is very challenging for black women and especially plus size black women to get into it. You have to target those companies that specialize in that niche and then you have to be persistent. All the while trying to build a fan base so that the companies will shoot you over and over again because they know you will sell DVDs or memberships.
Ms. FeFe: What is considered “Stardom” and how do you know you’ve achieved it in the adult entertainment world?
MM: I didn’t consider myself a “Porn star” until I started getting recognized by fans in public. I think you’ve made it when people want to see you and you are getting hired for appearances and scenes and music videos. I still haven’t achieved that stardom yet and it takes time.
Ms. FeFe: What are some of the stigma’s you face on a daily basis being an adult film star?
MM: People think I’m a Porn Star 24/7 having sex all day every day, and that I’m dumb/stupid because they think it’s the only way I can earn a living. When the fact of the matter is that I’m a woman with college degree and I am highly intelligent and business minded and a lot of other girls in the business are too. I am just a regular girl in my everyday life.
Ms. FeFe: So, what won’t you do?
MM: I don’t do anal sex.
Ms. FeFe: How many movies have you done to date?
MM: I have shot about 50 scenes for both DVDs and websites.
Ms. FeFe: Do you have a cutoff point?
MM: When I stop making money and being in demand that will be my cut-off or if I find a good man who wants to marry me and wants me to stop. Or if I hit the lottery.
Ms. FeFe: Where can fans purchase any of your movies?
MM: They can visit my site www.msmarshaexxx.com where there are links to DVD universe with my movies and links to sites that I am currently on.
Ms. FeFe: Who do you like to work with more, men or women? And why?
MM: I like working with them both, but if I have to chose it will be men, because its much more fulfilling.
Ms. FeFe: Can you really find love in this industry or is it just smoke and mirrors?
MM: I believe you can. I know some people who have and they seem to be happy and they help each other.
Ms. FeFe: Is it as hard to get out of this business as it is to get in it?
MM: It’s not hard to get out, but if you want to pretend like you were never in, that’s going to be damn near impossible.
Ms. FeFe: What advice can you give to anyone trying to pursue a career in adult entertainment?
MM: You have to spend money to make money. It’s not a get rich quick option. Be prepared for the attention both positive and negative because no matter how good you are or think you are or how good you look there are always haters so you gotta have tough skin to handle that and rejection because some companies will reject you.
Ms. FeFe: Any last words or shout outs?
MM: I just want to thank my fans for their continued support and I will be making more movies for you guys to enjoy!
